At Lake City Church Kids, we work to find exciting and creative ways to show kids of all ages that:

  1. Jesus loves them

  2. God the Father has a plan for their life, and

  3. The Holy Spirit is working through them NOW!

We have an amazing team of volunteers who make it their mission to cultivate real church on each kid’s level. We do not believe that Kids Church is childcare, it is so much more than that! We are not in the business of babysitting, we are in the business of teaching kids of all ages how to worship God and encouraging them to develop a real relationship with Jesus.

We know that There Is No Junior Holy Spirit, and that is the emphasis behind every message we teach, whether it’s in KidCity or KidCity Jr!

KIDCITY JR.

  • BABIES (12WKS-23MOS)

    We are excited to welcome your littlest ones into a safe and loving environment where they will hear worship songs on their level and have fun so you can enjoy worshipping in the auditorium!

  • TODDLERS (2-3YRS)

    In our Toddler class, we begin to shape what church is all about, teaching fun and interactive lessons at their level while also teaching them how to participate in worship!

  • PRESCHOOL (4-5YRS)

    Our preschoolers love to sing worship songs, learn about Jesus, and experience fun activities every week!

    Our goal is to prepare them for a smooth transition to KidCity!

KIDCITY (K-5TH GRADE)

KidCity is where all of the fun of church collides with amazing worship experiences! Each week our kids experience fun hang time with their friends, worship and an amazing lesson that teaches them key virtues of Jesus and how He wants us to live our lives!

Each week kids split into small groups based on their grade to discuss in more depth what their lesson was about that day and to dive deeper into any questions they might have! By the time they graduate 5th grade and transition to LCYTH we want them to know without a doubt that Jesus Loves Them, God Has a Plan for Their Life, and the Holy Spirit Works Through Them!

  • If it’s your first time, you’ll find our team ready to great you at our New Family Check-In kiosk!

    If you are a veteran at this, then you’re welcome to check in at one of our kiosks beginning 15 minutes before service.

  • Our LCC Kids Area is completely secured by locked doors and our Safety Team.

    When you check-in your child, you will receive a parent tag that permits you to enter the kids area. This tag will be required in order to pick your child up as well.

    If you do not have this tag, then you will be asked to see our Kids Pastor or Preschool Director in order to pickup your child.

  • Yes! Regardless of what role they play, ANYONE that is in a Lake City Church Kids area has passed a background check and pastoral interview process!

  • LCC KIDS IS A PEANUT FREE AREA. PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY PEANUT PRODUCTS IN TO THIS AREA.

    If your child has any allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know when you check them in. We will make a note of this on their name tag!

  • Please don’t check in kids if:

    • They have had a fever above 99° (without medicine) within the last 24 hours

    • They have had diarrhea within the last 24 hours

    • They have vomited within the last 24 hours

    • They have green discharge from nose

    • They have pink eye

    • They have a persistent, deep-sounding cough

    • They have Strep Throat (child should have started antibiotics more than 24 hours before attending)

    • They have a contagious disease (flu, measles, rubella, mumps, whooping cough, meningitis)

    • They have any open and/or weeping sores or wounds

    • They have any unexplained and/or contagious rash (chicken pox, boils, ringworm, Hand Foot Mouth, impetigo)

    • They have lice or scabies

  • Things to keep in your diaper bag when leaving your child in KidCity Jr.

    • Diapers

    • Wipes

    • Change of clothes in a Ziploc bag (If your baby has a blow out you’ll have a bag to put the dirty clothes in without dirtying up your diaper bag!)

    • Pacifiers

    • Bottle w/milk or formula

    • Baby’s favorite toys

    • Baby friendly snacks (puffs, freeze dried yogurt bites, etc)

    • Light blanket

    Things that should NOT be in your diaper bag when leaving your child in KidCity Jr.

    • Personal Items, i.e. phone, keys, wallet, etc

    • Weapons of any kind, i.e. knives, guns, pepper spray, etc

    • Medication of any kind - we do not give medication to children in Lake City Kids

  • Nursery: Diapers are changed only at designated changing stations by a background checked adult, female volunteer. Children are never left unattended, and stations are cleaned after each use.

    Toddlers & Preschool: Restroom doors remain partially open, with leaders assisting verbally from outside. Only one child is in the bathroom at a time. Leaders do not help with wiping or changing. If help is needed, parents are contacted.

    Elementary: One child at a time in the restroom. Leaders do not enter or assist. If a child needs help due to an accident, parents are notified.
